Alexandra Hontiveros

Alexandra is a dedicated and skilled nurse with a diverse background in medical and surgical care. Originally from the Philippines, she began her nursing career in a medical-surgical unit, where she built a strong foundation in patient care and clinical best practices. Upon relocating to the UK, she expanded her expertise by working in a medical dementia ward, further developing her skills in compassionate, patient-centered care.

Eager to broaden her scope of practice, Alexandra transitioned into the field of Ophthalmology, where she has been combining clinical and ward responsibilities. For the past year, she has worked in the ophthalmology theatres at CHEC, where she is responsible for assessing patients, preparing them for procedures, and providing comprehensive post-operative care. Through this role, Alexandra has developed a deep understanding of various eye conditions and treatments, enabling her to guide and support patients throughout their healthcare journeys.
