The Application Process

  • Research CHEC: Look at our values, and check that you match our outlook and culture.
  • Check your commute! It is important that the commute to the hospital or office is suitable for you.
  • Apply via our application form. It only takes a few minutes, we will ask a few screening questions and a quick CV Upload. If you have any struggles please do email us: careers@chec.uk.
  • Once you apply for a role, we will assess your CV and your suitability for that position and if we believe you’re right for us and we’re right for you then our Resourcing Team will be in touch to organise a telephone screening call with you.
  • Following the screening call with our Resourcing Team you will be informed if shortlisted to interview within 3 working days.
  • When you are booked in for interview, we will run through all the details with you.
  • All our interviews are competency based and may include an additional task. Everything will be emailed to you ahead of your interview, and the Resourcing Team will also be on hand to answer any queries.
  • Ahead of the interview please ensure you research CHEC. We want to know why you want to work here and what has attracted you to attend the interview.
  • Please ensure you bring your Right to Work ID with you to the interview, as well as your qualifications.
  • During the interview you will meet your potential manager as well as another manager within CHEC, we love to be asked questions on the interview too, please prepare these in advance.
  • After meeting you, our interview panel will review and score your answers to each of the questions
  • Once all interviews for the vacancy have finished, the interview panel will come to their final decision
  • The Resourcing Team will notify you of the outcome of your application over the phone and provide with you with feedback.
  • Following a phone call with our Resourcing Team to let you know the good news, our HR Team will prepare and send over all information through our Recruitment System, please look out for this email
  • Once you have formally accepted the offer online, you will be given access to the full version of our onboarding portal. This will give you all of the information you need about your role and the start of your journey with CHEC
  • The Resourcing Team and your Line Manager will be in contact with you regularly to ensure you have everything you need for your start date.
