Dr Rania Bassiouny Ophthalmologist Dr Rania Bassiouny is an experienced ophthalmologist with over 18 years of clinical practice across Egypt and Kuwait. She has a particular interest in cataract surgery, alongside paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, with extensive experience in both routine and complex surgical cases. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care with a strong emphasis on safety and surgical excellence. Dr Bassiouny holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS Ophthalmology) and is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Mansoura University, Egypt. She has extensive experience in both medical and surgical ophthalmology, with a strong focus on achieving safe and effective outcomes for her patients. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Bassiouny is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and ophthalmology trainees. She has played a crucial role in training the next generation of eye surgeons as a surgical tutor at the Kuwait board of ophthalmology.
